IN RARE COMPANY™

A Strategic Retreat for Women Painting Business Owners

Who's in the room changes the conversation.

Step away from the business.
See it differently.

In Rare Company brings together a small, curated group of women painting business owners for a strategic retreat designed to create perspective, connection and the space to think more deeply about what's next.

Most owners spend their days solving today's problems, serving customers and supporting their people. The work that creates the most value rarely happens there. It happens when you step away long enough to lead, strategize and think differently about what's possible.

And this isn't four days in a conference room.

Four women laughing over coffee on a covered porch with a wooded valley behind them
Strategy in the morning. Coffee, trails and conversation the rest of the day.

Why this room matters

Perspective

Get out of the day-to-day and spend meaningful time working on your business instead of simply working in it.

Experience

Learn alongside women in the industry who are already doing many of the things you're trying to accomplish.

Connection

Build real relationships with peers who understand the business, the responsibility and the life that comes with ownership.

Space

Create room to slow down, reflect, recharge and have the conversations that don't happen in the rush of everyday business.

Created by women, for women

An intentionally designed experience for women who want honest conversation, meaningful connection and a bigger view of what's possible.

Featuring

The $100,000 Conversation™

Owners create their greatest value not by doing more, but by making better decisions. This retreat is designed to help each participant identify the conversation, decision or strategic change that could create, or protect, $100,000 of value in her business.

  • What is holding the business back?
  • Where am I spending time that no longer requires me?
  • What needs to change for the business to grow without demanding more of me?
You don't need 100 new ideas. You may need one $100,000 conversation.

The Experience

Great food, movement, laughter and plenty of unstructured time, alongside the strategic work.

  • Hocking Hills, Ohio

A note from your hosts

We built the room we wanted to be in.

Michal has been to owner retreats that changed the way she runs No Drip Painting: days away from the business, with people who had already been there, asking harder questions than she would ask herself. What she couldn't find was one built for women who own painting companies.

Tara has spent more than 35 years helping owners see their businesses differently. Again and again, she has watched the biggest breakthroughs happen when an owner finally steps away from the noise and gives herself permission to think.

So we're creating it together. A small group. A beautiful place. Honest conversation about the numbers, the people and the decisions, and about the woman carrying all of it.

If you've ever felt like the only one in the room who really gets it, this is for you. We'd love to have you with us.

How do shared and private rooms work?

Shared rooms hold three or four women, and everyone has her own bed. Private rooms are limited and assigned in the order deposits are received. Tell us your preference when you request an invitation.

How do I reserve a seat?

Request an invitation below. We'll reach out personally for a short conversation to make sure the retreat is a good fit. Once you're invited, a $500 deposit holds your seat, and the remaining balance is due January 8, 2027, 60 days before the retreat.

What if I need to cancel?

Because the group is so small, deposits are non-refundable. Our full cancellation policy will be included with your invitation.

How do I get there?

Hocking Hills is about an hour southeast of Columbus. If you're flying, John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) is the closest major airport. We're happy to help attendees coordinate rides.

Can the chef handle dietary needs?

Yes. Let us know about allergies and preferences ahead of time and the menu will be planned around them.

Do I need to be fit or outdoorsy?

No. Yoga, walks and the wellness time are for every level, and all of it is optional. Some of the best conversations happen in a chair by the fire.

What should I bring?

Comfortable layers, walking shoes, a swimsuit for the hot tub, and your most recent profit and loss statement. Come ready to think, share and unplug from the business for a few days.
